Work From Home In Style

Make working from home the highlight of your day with this office inspo. This client was looking to revamp her space as she was spending much more time in a room filled with clutter since COVID-19 shut down their office space. She had to quickly convert a small bedroom on her main floor that typically was the "catch-all" room into a home office. She often referred to it as "working in a dungeon" before we came along. With so much natural light in this space, this should surely never be considered dark and dingy so once we finalized her 3D design, we got straight to work!

By updating her paint color, the room already had a brighter feel. Additionally, removing old drapery on the windows and replacing them with beautiful, white linen curtains gave the space new life! As for the furniture, she wanted to keep her Ikea desk but needed more storage so we installed shelving on the back wall as well as a console to store her files, printer, and other miscellaneous work items.

To complete the look, we styled her shelves with some of her favorite pieces as well as photos of her family. We laid down a beautiful Ruggable rug and put two accent chairs on the other side of her desk for when she has visitors. We also updated her desk chair into a comfortable ergonamic chair which will keep her comfortable during all her meetings!

All and all, this project only took three weeks from start to finish. With her clutter items, a lot of them were donated to Goodwill and Salvation Army. You know what they say, one mans trash.. She is so happy how her space turned out! Now ont
